LONDON PREMIERE OF THE MARTIAN TO BE BEAMED LIVE ACROSS EUROPE

21 September 2015

ODEON is offering guests across five European countries the chance to enjoy all the live action from the red carpet world premiere of Ridley Scott’s highly anticipated sci-fi blockbuster The Martian.

In a ground-breaking first for ODEON & UCI Cinemas Group, working in close partnership with 20th Century Fox, all of the drama from Leicester Square will be streamed live to cinemas across Europe. Guests will be able to see all of the live interviews with stars and celebrities at the premiere.

On 24th September at 17:45 GMT, guests across Europe will be able to see all of the glitz and glamour of the red carpet at the world famous ODEON Leicester Square before a screening of the film itself, a week before official release.

As part of this, UK guests in over 30 specially selected towns and cities will host the red carpet screening, bringing them closer to the stars than ever before. To find your nearest cinema screening this special event, please visit: http://www.odeon.co.uk/films/the_martian_live_prem...

The Martian is officially released in the UK on Wednesday 30th September.

Andy Edge, Commercial Director of ODEON said: “We’re delighted to be bringing this unique opportunity to see all the excitement of a red carpet premiere to more of our guests than ever before. Film premieres are usually something reserved for central London residents, and that’s if you’re lucky enough to get hold of a ticket! It’s the first time we’ve been able to host anything of this kind, and it’s shaping up to be a unique night for our guests across Europe. This is just one of the many exciting plans we have in the pipeline to bring the best in world-class entertainment to our guests in the UK and abroad.”
